Coordination is Key

We used to have a cheer that said that when I was a cheerleader... OH, bad memories, never mind. Forget that please. Still that applies in everyday life. If you are not matching, color coordinating, or pattern-izing (yay for made up words!) then I don't know what your doing with your life.
I hope you can see I enjoyed red this day. The picture did not show my makeup that well, but I had wore bright red lips, like the lips on my Marilyn Monroe shirt (which was purchased at Forever 21) then I wore my favorite boots, also in red. Boots were bought at Sears. I am all about coordinating, even my underwear sometimes. It's just classy and makes picking out your clothes fun. So get to organizing your closet or putting stuff together the night before you get up and are so tired you grab a brown shirt with black pants and an orange headband... I'm not kidding, Ive seen it before. Get coordinated!

Cute and Cozy

I love clothes. Every night, I lay out about six outfits and take time picking which one. Only, why shouldn't you look like you tried hard, failed, yet still are comfy.... that made no sense. Here, just look at what I mean.
I don't really know how to describe this... or what I was trying to describe. I just think that it's okay to pair your favorite t-shirt, with a super cute skirt and your favorite accessories.

I am too lazy, hehe, to flip the picture, but this is my favorite shirt to just through on. It says I <3 u ;), I love winkey faces; their creepy at times and totally say I find you attractive. You can purchase it at H&M, then the skirt I got last year at Delia's, but you can still get the tights, which are white with a knit pattern, from Delia's, and I paired it with simply uggs.
Some days, you feel like trying but really not.

p.s. I love skirts with pockets... its like a hidden surprise!

Keeping Black Women Young.

I have decided to restart up my blog. This year I have gotten in touch with my true style and clothing I enjoy.
While at the mall this women working at Macy's kept asking me about my make-up and nails and clothes. She said she was going to buy my nailpolish and that it would keep her young. As we left the store, my friend turned to me and said, "Madi McGuck, keeping black women young."
And that I am.

Someday by Justin Bieber

Alright, so yes I bought it. I bought the Justin Bieber perfume. Laugh all you want it smells wonderful!

It is called a fruity-flirty blend, and that's what it is. Its is very light and fruity. A nice day scent, even my mothers friend liked it. It smelled like something I already had, which was Preppy Princess by Vera Wang but its more... i don't want to say musty because it doesn't have a musty smell... the Vera Wang it just stronger and not as light. Someday is a good wake me up scent. Also, it's how Justin wants a girl to smell... whats better than that.
I had purchased the big bottle so I could get the free laptop bag :)
For packing- 5 out of 5. The bottle is super cute with the hearts on top and I like the charm.
Smell- 3.5 out of 5. It is really good and I enjoy it but like I said I had something similar so it is not totally unique but it is a good scent to throw on for a date... if I had ever gone on one or if I do.
Would I Buy Again- Probably not the scent because I have so many other perfumes I want to try. Also its not like my Jessica Simpson Fancy that I couldn't live without. Only there is a hair spray and lotion which I did not get but when its been out longer and the price goes down a bit I am totally getting the lotion because I loved it when I put it on in the store.
Also what is great about this is all the profit goes to charity. So I felt like I'm giving back and smelling good in the process. Here are some pictures of the box I got it in, with his face all over <3, and the laptop bag.

First Makeup Look

This is my first makeup look for you guys. Now it is not the first one I came up with but it is the first one I am posting. I am not really sure what to call it. I think it looks like something a barbie doll would wear to prom if she wasn't in pink. Only don't think its made to be a barbie look; I was just messing around when I made it.
1) To start off do your normal foundation routine. I will post mine one of these days but keep the foundation clean, this look is best when the face is close to flawless. When I say flawless I mean even and natural, not with like no pores or pimples or perfect because that's impractical no one has that. Just get to the natural way you feel prettiest, only I did not apply any bronzer for this look. Then I applied a very light amount of a peachy blush; I had used one I got in an ULTA kit.
2) Now to start the eyes. Prime them with your favorite primer. My favorite primer is Too Faced's Eye Shadow Insurance. It makes your shadow last a long time and really makes the colors pop. You can get my favorite primer online at toofaced.com, Sephora, or ULTA. There probably are others but those are where I buy my Too Faced products, which is my favorite makeup brand.
3) For this look I had used Too Faced Enchanted Glamourland set on the eyes, only you can use any types of shadows you want in the same shade. Highlight the eye with a color close to your skin tone, right under the brow bone. After that take a small shader brush and get a silver color; such as Ooh and Aah. Apply this color to the inner third of your eye; you want a fair amount.
4) Then take an extremely small amount of a yellowish or orange color, George and Weezie, to that same brush and sweep once in the middle of your eye. This will help blend the next color with the silver.
5) Wipe off your small shader brush and get a golden color; I used Honey Pot which is my favorite eye shadow color ever. Apply this to the outer third of your eye, and place some over the yellow color in the middle.
6) Then take a blending brush and use a wind wiper motion lightly over the center to blend the colors together. Continue to do so until they are evenly blended to your liking.
7) I had liked my top lashes with a dark brown pencil, only you may use black or what ever you like. Make a thin line on the top that is sharp and crisp.
8) Line the bottom lashes with that same color, but only got about a third of the way in and smudge that line across.
9) Take a mascara in the same color as your eye liner and apply to your bottom and top lashes.
10) Lastly, I had used a beige-berry lipstick and applied it lightly to my lips; I used Clique's Angelic.
Now the look is complete. I hope you will try it out and have fun; make it our own. Check back for more looks coming soon. I have a spring one for this week, because it is my spring break. If your on spring break, have fun.
Bye. Love,
Mads

New Hair

Over the years I have always had long hair. In six grade I had decided to cut my hair to my shoulders, and then I had grown it out. In 8th grade, my hair was down to my butt, and annoying as can be. I then went and cut off my dead ends, which was about 5 inches. My hair still was quite long and grows like a weed. So recently I wanted to change things up and do something different..... so I chopped it off. Now when I say that you probably think she got a bob. No. It still is "technically" long, but it is short for me. I really love it!

Before

After

I like having it shorter. Now when my hair is curly it almost looks like a bob. Only when I straighten its really flippy and has alot of volume. The after picture is a little bad because my friend had curled my hair, so this was after I brushed it out to try to make it look straight. Any who! Its nice and easy to handle. Plus, I love how everyone says I look older.
Some advice. If your thinking about changing up your style, such as; getting bangs, going short, adding extensions, etc. I say go for it. Who know? You might end up loving it like me, and if you don't it grows back. That's the thing with hair. They have ways to repair it, add to it, restyle it, and so much more. With so many different things you can do with hair, what you choose can be worked with. Also don't let others decide what to do with your hair for you. All of my friends told me I would hate having shorter hair and that they liked it long. When in the end I liked it shorter better and they love it too.
Take a Chance. Love,
Madi
